AUTO DOSING / FIRST USE

Before you can use the Auto Dosing function, some

p reparatory steps are required.

1. Set the correct water hardness level.

Correct detergent dosing depends - among

others – also on the hardness of your local water.

Hard water requires a higher dosage of detergent

than soft water. The water hardness saved in the

washing machine is set to “soft” when you buy it.

First identify the hardness of your local water,

either by internet, by contacting your local water

authorities or by using the water hardness test strip

delivered with the washing machine (if available).

If the hardness of your local water is not “soft”,

the water hardness level of the washing machine

needs to be adapted accordingly:

• Press and hold the Settings button until

the settings menu appears on the display.

• Select water hardness from the menu on the

display by pressing the Up or Down key. Conrm

by pressing the OK key.

• Select the water hardness level corresponding to

your local water hardness; choose between soft /

medium / hard. Conrm by pressing the OK key.

• To exit the Settings mode, select the exit option

from the display menu, or just press the Settings

button again.

2. Set Tank 2 content.

By default, Tank 1 is set for a detergent (your main

detergent), and Tank 2 is set for fabric softener.

If you do not use fabric softener, set Tank 2 for

another detergent (for instance special detergent

such as wool, colour or sport detergent).

• Press and hold the Settings button until

the settings menu appears on the display.

• Select “Tank 2 content” from the menu indicated

on the display by pressing the Up or Down key.

Conrm by pressing the OK key.

• Select detergent or fabric softener. Conrm by

pressing the OK key.

• To exit the Settings mode, select the exit option

from the display menu, or just press the Settings

button again.

3. Customize the tank labels.

The labels on the tanks are reversible and

exchangeable. They serve to remind you the

content which you decided to use for the auto

dosing tanks.
